Hmm, let's see here.  Iraq is 98% Muslim.  Predominately Shia as opposed to Sunni.  The Catholic and Christian population make up less than a staggering 1%.  And most of them fled the country long ago.  During Gulf War I, Gulf War II, and a list of geopolitical insurgencies and sectarian rebellions too numerous to mention.  Simply put, if you live in Iraq and choose to follow the teachings of the Catholic Church... well, you might as well be the equivalent of an Orange Prolapse worshiping pedophile.  Not a good look.

So guess who's comin to town?  Hint: It ain't Trump.

I realize the pope's all about lending a helping hand and caring for the downtrodden.  But if you're Pope Francis, a/k/a Dope Fuckface, it might be a wise idea to steer clear of Iraq.  Particularly during a global pandemic.

During his visit there will likely be an uptick in hates and rockets, bombs and bitching.  So I think you could make a reasonable case that it's just another old white foreigner with blood on their hands.  Go figure.
