Yesterday, Clark County Republican Joe Lombardo announced his campaign for Nevada Governor. He's basically the "Sheriff of Las Vegas." So naturally he's gonna occupy the far right lane on a "restore law and order" platform. Seems desperate to align himself with the residual Trumper base.

It's already a crowded Republican primary ticket. And a few other high profile names could enter the fray. So it could get pretty contentious. Incumbent Governor Steve Sisolak (D) will likely be favored in 2022. However, Nevada's generally regarded as a pure toss up. The population of Las Vegas and Reno trend blue. But the rest of the state is redder than Donald's eternal case of rosacea.
