This "maneuver" was likely in response to fellow Senate Democrats and Republicans calling Russia a terrorist organization.  You know... for the mass kidnapping/trafficking of 20,000 Ukranian children and a litany of war crimes far too numerous to mention (missiles fired into pre-schools, drone attacks on nursing homes, shelling nuclear reactors, etc.).

I would encourage a high profile, "semi-renegade Democrat," someone like Andrew Yang, Pete Buttigieg, or Zoran Mondani, to simply declare himself the unlikely. defacto leader of Antifa.  And tell the Orange Prolapse to put his golden bit coin where his mouth is.  And come after me in a court of law.
