Never saw John Lennon.  However, my parents nearly got caught up in his Manhattan assassination back in 1980.  Long story.

Just for the record, I saw his son Julian Lennon perform at the Wheeling Civic Center during the summer of 1986.  A "juggler/mime contraption" opened.  Every time this dude dropped a beanbag or flaming bowling pin or whatever, the crowd would boo.  I kinda felt bad for the guy.  He was definitely having an off-night.
