I've always thought that religious headgear looks kinda... uh, what the word I'm searching for...

When I was 8 years old, back in the late 70's, my family attended Friday night services at Temple Shalom in Wheeling, West Virginia.  Afterwards, my father suggested we hit Baskin Robbins on the way home for some ice cream.  As I surveyed the options, my two older brothers broke out in spontaneous laughter.  Then my father started cracking up.  Even my mom was giggling.  I had no idea what was so funny but even I began to laugh.  Still, I had no idea what was so funny.  Just one of those infectious moments.

It wasn't until we got home.  As I exited the backseat of my dad's Chrysler New Yorker, a yarmulke slipped off my head.  For the love of Christ!  They were all laughing at me.  The little Jew boy enjoying his World Class Chocolate.  

I had forgotten to take off the damn yarmulke.  Lesson learned.

Could've been worse I suppose.
