Phillip Adams played for 5 different NFL teams during his 6 year career. San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, New England Patriots, Seattle Seahawks and the New York Jets. He was by all means a venerable journeyman. However, his bigger claim to fame will always be the shooting murders of 5 individuals + leaving one in critical condition. It all went down in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Dr. Robert Lesslie, 70; his wife, Barbara Lesslie, 69.
Adah Lesslie, 9; and Noah Lesslie, 5.
Also killed, air conditioning repairman James Lewis, 38. Robert Shook, another technician, remains in critical condition.
Then he drove to his parent's house where he committed suicide. I think it's okay to use the term "committed" in this case, as his actions were reprehensible and severely criminal.

Andrew Gold, a relatively obscure musician, wrote arguably one of the top 10 songs of the 1970's. He was also the same guy that wrote The Addams Family theme song intro. Never knew that.
