#311. Derek Chauvin's Guilty

Ideally, #311 should be a 311 parody.  But I couldn't think of anything.  Still, let's make it significant.

Chauvin shows off his new and improved look... in solitary confinement

Lucky guy!  Hopefully, he'll take advantage of the peace and quiet and relative seclusion.

It'll be interesting to see if any of the other three police officers take the stand during their upcoming trials.

You'd think it would be in their best interest to exhibit some form of sympathy or remorse, especially after watching a cold Chauvin plead the fifth.  Didn't work out too well for the Minneapolis Strangler, eh?

Derek Chauvin’s Guilty
sonofsaf

Derek Chauvin’s guilty, George Floyd will share the blame
How we bash each other's brains
Although we should abstain
How we measure life in blood
And closing of all the doors
Lives matter if you’re black
Derek Chauvin’s guilty

Ways that we feel strong, we choose to inflict pain
Fake news for all the sheeple
It’s always just a game
And it’s based on all the fears
And lies and bigotry
The sleepless nights of REM
Derek Chauvin’s guilty

Derek Chauvin’s guilty, George Floyd will share the blame
How we bash each other's brains
Although we should abstain
How we measure life in blood
And closing of all the doors
Lives matter if you’re black
Derek Chauvin’s guilty

Lives matter if you’re black
Derek Chauvin’s guilty

Lives matter if you’re black
Now, Derek Chauvin’s guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty
Chauvin’s guilty, guilty guilty, guilty, guilty

Isn’t It a Pity
Eric Clapton

Isn't it a pity, now isn't it a shame?
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity?

Some things take so long, but how do I explain
When not too many people
Can see we're all the same?
And because of all their tears
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity?

Isn't it a pity, isn't it a shame?
How we break each other's hearts
And cause each other pain
How we take each other's love
Without thinking anymore
Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity?

Forgetting to give back
Isn't it a pity?

Forgetting to give back
Now, isn't it a pity?
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity
What a pity, pity pity, pity, pity

Eric Clapton:

I've never seen George Harrison.  But this is just such a truly phenomenal song.  Covered by plenty of  bands.  Among them... Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Cowboy Junkies, Annie Lennox.  But my personal favorite version is by MMJ.  Regrettably, all of the live renditions on youtube are kinda "audience ghetto shaky" which is a pity.

Please do not share this material with Derek Chauvin, Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and/or Thomas Lane.
