Spring training is nearly upon us.  I can already sense the promotions.

Could a Bob Nutting garden gnome giveaway be on the horizon?

Supertramp played the Burgh twice.  The Civic Arena circa 1979 & 1983.  Never saw 'em.

Saf, how many Pirates games yinz been to?  No desire to do a hard count.  But I'd estimate the number of games at somewhere near the 230 mark.  A better question... how many times have you seen an entire game from start to finish?  I'd estimate that number to be about 25.

 

 

 

 

Every year, there are 4 Sundays where the NFL and MLB collide with about 20 overlapping games.  I refer to it as "dominipede" day.  3:04 pm sharp.

 

 

Unfortunately, this year a potential date is Sunday, September 15.  Same day as Roberto Clemente Day and the NFL's opening weekend.

Ouch!

Of course bad things never happen in the realm of professional sporting events...
