#870. Omicron Is Not Much Fun

The Biden administration has imposed some new travel restrictions due to the Omicron variant.   South Africa's now off limits.

My father and I went to Africa back in 1982 (South Africa and Kenya).  But as a 12 year old kid from Wheeling, WV, who lived a relatively insulated life, I really didn't have much of a grasp on apartheid or racial oppression.  Although I did occasionally encounter anti-semitism.  A harbinger of things to come I suppose.

Omicron Is Not Much Fun
sonofsaf

Omicron is not much fun
Variant for everyone
Put the Fauci to the test
Trump we all abhor

Ah

Trip to Africa is not what I’m choosin’
Some new Covid for my body abusin’
I wore a mask for attire, but just don’t ask why

So the pharmacy will sell Ivermectin
So swallow horse pills regardless of farmland
And Tucker Carlson is screaming
But his bow tie’s gay

Omicron is not much fun
Variant for everyone
Put the Fauci to the test
Trump we all abhor

Constipating all the science with treason
Colin Kaepernick is down on his knees and
Because we aim to have a health plan
Well, securely keep a border show

Daniels Stormy with big boobs and commotion
Donald Trump’s an Orange Prolapse without lotion
I wish his mom had an abortion
In an embryonic way

Omicron is not much fun
Variant for everyone
Put the Fauci to the test
Trump we all abhor yo!

Omicron
Virus spreads in December
Omicron
Virus churns like a blender
Ivanka’s not very friendly
Jared Kushner is a Jew

Omicron is not much fun
Variant for everyone
Put the Fauci to the test
Trump we all
Trump we all abhor

Abhor!

Carry On Wayward Son
Kansas

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more

Ah

Once I rose above the noise and confusion
Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion
I was soaring ever higher, but I flew too high

Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
I hear the voices when I'm dreaming
I can hear them say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more

Masquerading as a man with a reason
My charade is the event of the season
And if I claim to be a wise man
Well, it surely means that I don't know

On a stormy sea of moving emotion
Tossed about, I'm like a ship on the ocean
I set a course for winds of fortune
But I hear the voices say

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more no!

Carry on
You will always remember
Carry on
Nothing equals the splendor
Now your life's no longer empty
Surely heaven waits for you

Carry on my wayward son
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry
Don't you cry no more

No more!

Since 1975, Kansas has come to Pittsburgh 27 times.  And played just about every venue imaginable.  Never seen 'em.  However, I did see the Grateful Dead in Bonner Springs, Kansas back in 1991 at the Sandstone Amphitheater.
