Mehmet Oz's Pennsylvania U.S. Senate campaign issued a statement yesterday...

"If John Fetterman had ever eaten a vegetable in his life, then maybe he wouldn't have had a major stroke and wouldn't be in the position of having to lie about it constantly." --- Rachel Tripp, Oz's senior communications advisor

Fetterman should offer a simple rebuttal.  "Speaking of vegetables, and to a lesser extent the crudite... I have an incredibly simple, straightforward question for the celebrity doctor.  Did you actually purchase the overpriced crudite for your wife.  Yes or no?  Also, did you buy any other items for dinner that night?  And if so, was it eventually necessary to get a basket or cart?

"And just one more inquiry.  Since you successfully won the Republican primary back in mid-May, 4 months ago, how many times have you personally went shopping in a retail grocery store?"

Great tune.  Probably my favorite Dire Straits song.  

Dire Straits has played the Burgh just once.  The Syria Mosque back in 1985.  Back in high school, I distinctly remember "Catholic Comptroller" blaring the intro to Money for Nothing as we rounded the bend to the White Palace in Wheeling, WV.  He looked over at me in the passenger seat of his red Scirocco and said, "Saf, the idea here is to time your appearance with the guitar riff.  Trust me, it'll impress the ladies."
