#1800. Senator Daines

Earlier this year, Senator Steve Daines (R-MT) became the Chairman for the National Republican Senatorial Committee.  

A couple months ago, Daines' twitter account was briefly suspended for posting an image of "graphic violence."  Or in this case, a blood splattered carcass from a trophy hunting adventure.  Beats showing off pics of decapitated 2nd graders I suppose.

However, Daines new title places him in a precarious position.  He doesn't wish to alienate the fringe MAGA wing of the GOP.  But at the same time, if Republicans truly wish to win back the Senate, they'll need to back more sensible candidates for statewide races.  Not Orange-Prolapse sponsored individuals like Herschel Walker, Blake Masters, Mehmet Oz, etc.

In other news, I went down to PNC Park for Opening Day.  However I didn't deign to go inside.  In this day and age, to voluntarily support the Bob Nutting financial empire is just a little beneath my dignity.

 

Pirates beat the Chicago White Sox 13-9 in what turned out to be a pretty wild game.  You know, "wild" by MLB baseball standards.  Not insurrection standards.  Three years ago, Commissioner Rob Manfred and Bucs owner Bob Nutting accused me of trying to stage a coup.  An attempt to "overthrow" Major League Baseball.  In all honesty, I was just trying to help.
