Wanna know what amazed me about the Cheatle hearings before Congress? 

 

Rather than obviously demanding her resignation, nobody from either party asked, "How on earth can you sit there and tell me you have no intention of resigning?"  How can you be so oblivious to the inevitability of your dilemma?  How can someone who holds such a critical position not be able to recognize the fact that they're going to be fired, or at a bare minimum, must resign immediately.  Seriously, did Cheatle actually believe that she'd just linger around for the next 60 days while the FBI completes their investigation?  In my book, that's the scary part.

As far as things go, that's far more worrisome than the attempted assassination of the Orange Prolapse.
