Elton's coming back to the Burgh on September 16, 2022 for a farewell show at PNC Park.  I've noticed something unusual within the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.  They're out in full force promoting the show.  Kinda like Trump.  Boasting, bragging.  Major outdoor concerts at the ballpark have set an entirely different standard.  It's not about the team winning or losing.  It's as though... well, our attendance figures totally suck and we'll probably finish in last place again  But hey, this team can achieve success vicariously when everyone experiences the thrill of a miscellaneous sold-out rock concert!  Elton John, Billy Joel, Motley Crue/Def Leppard/Poison, and so on and so forth.  It's just a different "kind" of victory.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to it.  Glad Pittsburgh's on the second leg of the tour which is all outdoor stadium/ballpark shows.  As opposed to the first leg in the spring which consists of only indoor arena shows.
