The biggest political wonder of the world?

Why are all the religious evangelicals still enamored with Donald J. Trump?  You'd think there'd be a smidgen of  skepticism in there.  Somewhere.

No empathy, zero humility, brazen arrogance, the ceaseless insults, the race-baiting, tried to steal the presidency, cheats on his wife with a porn star while his wife is giving birth to their only son, etc.  If you're interested in promoting Christian virtues (prudence, justice, temperance, fortitude, faith, hope, charity)... how the hell do you continue to stand with the Orange Prolapse?

So why do the Jesus freaks love Trump?  I think the answer is relatively straightforward.  Love him or hate him,  Trump is hands down the world's greatest poli-televangelist.  He's the only politician who honestly thinks of himself as a God.  Or at the very least, a Messiah of sorts.  And if you've been triggered by Fox News for decades, coupled with a religious fervor since birth, there just really isn't a viable off-ramp.  You simply keep drifting onward and doubling down inside the visceral echo chamber of contempt and hostility.  From Glenn Beck, to O'Reilly, and now Tucker Carlson.
