The odds have actually risen since the Challenger exploded in 1986. It used to be 1/42. Peculiar statistic. You'd think, that over the last 35 years, the industry would have moved in a safer direction. Then again, if you're gonna turn the earth's atmosphere into a Value-Jet discount experience...
