#461. Jack And Phil

Incumbent Governor Phil Murphy (D-NJ) will be facing a general election matchup against Republican Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli.

Phil on the left.  Jack on the right.  Literally.

Murphy is the odds on favorite in the 2021 race I've termed "Phil Jack" (after my buddy Phil Jack).  However, if Murphy were to start slipping in the polls, I'd throw out this narrative.

"In my travels throughout the Garden State and discussions with New Jersey residents, many staunch Republicans have bluntly admitted that they have zero interest in voting for me, a lifelong Democrat.  But they're so sick 'n tard of the blind obsession and worship of the Orange Prolapse, that they're leaning towards casting a ballot for Libertarian candidate Gregg Mele instead.  It's, uh, more of a protest vote.  And there's another faction as well.  Some Republicans are so inherently disgusted... in the wake of the 1-6 domestic terrorism incident, the reoccurring voter fraud Q-A-nonense, and the notion of a failed multi-billionaire President incessantly begging for money with rally schemes and spam emails... that they're deciding to stay home.

The black and white makes him look like a competent historian.

This is a convincing, sensible, and easily replicable strategy across the board.  It's called divide and conquer.  Make sure to refer to this new subset of Republican voters in every state as the "Anti-T Party"...  as in anti-Trump.  Hey, it's the new version of the Tea Party in 2021.  A reawakening, reenvisioning, reincarnation, re-whatever.

Jack and Phil
’Tis not a drill
Preparing for the slaughter
Jack will frown ‘cause he’s a clown
And Phil will win thereafter

Jack and Jill

Jack and Jill
Went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.

Never cared much for nursery rhymes.  Likely a by-product of being offspring-less.

Please do not share this information with New Jersey gubernatorial candidates: current Governor Jack Murphy (D), Assemblyman Jack Ciattarelli (R), and/or Gregg Mele (L).
