#463. Critical Race

Wanna know what's fascinating about "critical race" theory?  Conceptually speaking, it can refer to absolutely anything about the black and white divide.  Brown, red, and yellow as well.  And now, taking into account the Orange Prolapse down in South Florida, well, there's even an orange divide as well.

But why is it suddenly such a big thing?  Why?  Because it was recently created by Fox News producers who were desperately searching for a hook.  So it has become the official, go-to counter narrative to accusations of domestic terrorism and the white supremacist insurrection vividly illustrated on 1-6.  Rest assured, you'll be hearing about CR theory ad nauseum.

When launching a response to critical race theory, the best thing you can do is keep it simple and point out the original flaw.  Curious how when our venerable founding fathers were conceiving of constitutional notions of freedom (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness), they seemingly didn't have much of an issue with owning human beings.  Murdering, torturing, raping.   Stealing, impoverishing, disenfranchising, and humiliating them as well.  For generations.

Fox News panelists tend to have a more difficult time when you raise that relatively insignificant observation.  Like I said, keep the rebuttals simple and straightforward.

Critical Race
sonofsaf

Is that your style
Talkin’ in utero
Use words like swords
The premise is so shallow
Orange Prolapse style
Will set you free
It’s a theory… axiom for me
I prey upon strife
Black men have longer dicks fo sho
But I gotta a feelin’
U.S. is a slaughterhouse
Christians keep diggin’ in more and more
Still I gotta a feelin’
When they went after my spouse
Shoulda known the government’s a whore

Fox News forever, race-to-race
A shitty news fountain
Pray with me, pray
Orange Prolapse will fuck me
Without a delay
Doesn’t matter whether
He cums on my face

Trump wants you to fight
Even if cops die
All about cybersecurity
And I was right
DHS (Farabaugh) came to my house
Was no need for him to deceive
Sometimes there’s not a plan
Sometimes, truth or dared
And sometimes they lie
Maybe ‘cause I’m a Jew
Know that doesn’t make it right
When you lie to try

Fox News forever, race-to-race
A shitty news fountain
Pray with me, pray
Orange Prolapse will fuck me
Without a delay
Doesn’t matter whether
He cums on my face

Fox News forever, race-to-race
A shitty news fountain
Pray with me, pray
Orange Prolapse will fuck me
Without a delay
Doesn’t matter whether
He cums on my face

O critical
My race
Critical
My race

Leather and Lace
Stevie Nicks & Don Henley

Is love so fragile
And the heart so hollow?
Shatter with words
Impossible to follow
Sayin' I'm fragile
Try not to be
I search only . . . somethin' I can't see
I have my own life
And I am stronger than you know
But I carry this feelin'
When you walked into my house
That you won't be walkin' out the door
Still I carry this feelin'
When you walked into my house
That you won't be walkin' out the door

Lovers forever, face-to-face
My city, your mountains
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace

You in the moonlight
With your sleepy eyes
Could you ever love a man like me?
And you were right
When I walked into your house
I knew I'd never wanna leave
Sometimes I'm a strong man
Sometimes, cold and scared
And sometimes I cry
But that time I saw you
Knew with you to light my night
Somehow I'd get by

Lovers forever, face-to-face
My city, your mountain
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace

Lovers forever, face-to-face
My city, your mountain
Stay with me, stay
I need you to love me
I need you today
Give to me your leather
Take from me my lace

O take from me
My lace
Take from me
My lace

* One of my all time favorite concerts.  On the way to the show, I was cramped in the back seat of 2-door blue Cavalier.  Aunt Jemima ran over a king-sized mattress box spring lying in the middle of Route 22.  For a brief second, we were airborne.  No damage.  Though it set the tone and tenor for a fun night.

Leather and Lace is a great tune.  Strong collaboration.  I prefer it to the other Fleetwood Mac ballads... Landslide, Silver Springs, etc.
