#687. Nine Eleven

My final 9/11 anniversary tribute for today.  Naturally, the Orange Prolapse released a 2 minute video praising our troops and emergency responders... and then immediately shifted to slamming Biden over the Afghanistan withdrawal.  Why?  Because he's the Orange Prolapse.  Uh, duh?

And later tonight, Trump will be doing color broadcast analysis for the Holyfield / Belfort fight on pay per view.  Rest assured, Trump will pontificate about how he'd "probably" lose a fight to either heavyweight.  But if he was in the ring with Joe Biden, well, it'd be the fastest knock-out you've ever seen.  I'm sure the Trumpian ghost writers have come up with a bunch of poli-pugilistic zingers.

And for that reason, I'm going to include this parody in the big lie 100.

Nine Eleven
sonofsaf

It was all a game
There was no nine eleven
Isn’t that a shame
There was no nine eleven

It was so wrong
A grand ‘ol con
'Cause the fake news played along
Nine eleven

Things in our homeland
There was no nine eleven
Things all went as planned
There was no nine eleven

The people pray
About doomsday
'Cause some think it’s judgement day
Nine eleven

Donald Trump’s a clown
Donald Trump disease
Donald Trump’s not smart
When he’s on his knees
On his knees

Daughter’s a whore
A beast, impure
As she blow bangs cocks galore
Nine eleven

It was all a game
There was no nine eleven
Isn’t that a shame
There was no nine eleven

It was so wrong
A grand ‘ol con
'Cause the fake news played along
Nine eleven

Tears in Heaven
Eric Clapton

Would you know my name?
If I saw you in heaven
Would it be the same?
If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

Would you hold my hand?
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand?
If I saw you in heaven

I'll find my way
Through night and day
'Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven

Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knees
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please

Beyond the door
There's peace, I'm sure
And I know there'll be no more
Tears in heaven

Would you know my name?
If I saw you in heaven
Would you be the same?
If I saw you in heaven

I must be strong
And carry on
'Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven

I realize that "Tears in Heaven" is supposed to be this beautifully acoustic, poignant song about the loss of a loved one.  But I've just never cared for it much.  Clapton too for that matter.  He's always been way overrated as a song writer.  Some of his greatest songs... I Shot The Sheriff?  Layla?  Wonderful Tonight?   C'mon, gimme a break.  All of 'em are the uninspired melodies of a rock'n'roll simpleton.  However, I do like Cocaine and After Midnight.  And a few others I suppose.
