He does this "spatteringly amusing" Shakedown riff throughout Night Fever. So I checked out "Shadow of Sound's" other Dead-inspired tunes. Blowin' in the Wind and Pink Floyd's Us and Them. But some other choices were totally outta left field --- Black Hole Sun and Sharp Dressed Man seemed kinda confusing. The idea being... hey, let's do a rockin' cover song but make it "purposefully sloppy and meandering." So brass tacks? Well, his spoof material seems more like a brass tax... on the world of music.
Maybe he should go all in and sing some my 50 lyrically-challenged, alternative Dead tunes. If you happen to know the dude, or anyone who performs GD covers, feel free to share.

This blog entry got me to thinking about the whole "in the style of the Grateful Dead" youtube sampling movement. All things considered, my best opinion would be to just leave well enough alone. Not every Happy Days episode requires a Laverne & Shirley, or a Joanie Loves Chachi, a Henry Winkler tinkling, or a cum shot in Ralph's mouth. Get my drift?
