But this one's personal. It's a Willie Dixon cover from my very first Dead show. They opened their Cincy 1989 concert with LTGTR > Wang Dang Doodle. Probably my second all-time favorite GD opener. Just for the record, 1991 Soldier Field was my favorite --- Bucket, Shakedown > Wang Dang Doodle, FOTD, Masterpiece, Brown Eyed Women, Let It Grow (Okay, that's the entire first set. But you get my drift.)
So anyway, I noticed that someone posted this in the comment section from the 1989 Cincinnati concert.
i remember an old black man who was an usher that nite loosing his shit and dancing harder than all of us during wand dang doodle ....
Believe it or not, I saw the exact same old black usher dude dancing up a storm. Then again, I saw a lot of things that night.
