I watched the VP debate last night. Tim Walz seemed nervous and uncomfortably anxious. Fortunately, he eventually settled in. Walz shoulda been way more aggressive with specific attack points. Off the top of my head, I can think of about a dozen "lay-up" kill shots.
All things considered, I think the Veep debate was a lost opportunity for the Dems. If, and I hate to say this... but if Kamala actually loses to the Orange Prolapse, her political legacy will likely be defined by her decision to exclude Governor Josh Shapiro from the national ticket. She's going to crush in the popular vote by 5-10 million. But yeah, the electoral's gonna be a dogfight.
Whatever transpires, Pennsylvania will define 2024. And to some extent, the future of humanity. Go figure!
In other news, the Steelers (-2.5) host the Cowboys this Sunday night.
The Residence Inn across from PNC Park's home plate entrance never disappoints.
Stealy or Steely? You decide! Yet again, it's a Jimmie thing.
Speaking of jimmies, Dave Matthews makes his first appearance at PPG Paints Arena next month. November 15, 2024.
‘Cause Donald Killed The Cops
sonofsaf
Donald’s ego will deliver
Appetizing crap like turds
Forty-five’s a fuckin’ weak clown
An Orange Prolapsin’ freak clown
Shithead’s queer that asshole nerd
Independents in the middle, and his seven deadly sins
All the Democrats will cheat now, stop the stealing is profound
Donald Trump we must defend
There’s a Big Mac on the buffet
A McDonald’s Quarter Pound
A job to blow all around
A big fat jerk, a syndrome of the down
Donald’s still romancing
Trump is killin’, Trump is killin’
Donald has a plan
Fuck that clown he’s homely
He’s a goon who’s filled with pride
Trump Vodka’s a little pissy, Lord
Trumpy Trout’s a ‘lil fishy, ‘cause his grifting is a crime
Had a plan for insurrection
Based on voter fraud that liar
Golden toilet in the can*
God damn tragic not a man, Lord
Hair gets a Rogaine buyer
Roger Stone is chugging Bud Light
Stormy Daniels wore a thong
All the libtards and their screams
Donald craps and even creams
It’s a con from dusk ’til dawn
He’s romancing with the far right
Penis mushroom ain’t that long
So much bullshit, build the wall or port-a-jon
A forever toilet stall
Trump is still romancing
Trump is killin’, Trump is killin’
Donald has a plan
Well his feces is a sorbet
He was born to dump and plop
Stop the steal with refinancing
Voodoo shit is so entrancing
‘Cause Donald killed the cops
The Music Never Stopped
Grateful Dead
There's mosquitoes on the river
Fish are rising up like birds
It's been hot for seven weeks now
Too hot to even speak now
Did you hear what I just heard?
Say it might have been a fiddle or it could have been the wind
But there seems to be a beat now I can feel it my feet now
Listen here it comes again!
There's a band out on the highway
They're high stepping into town
It's a rainbow full of sound
It's fireworks, calliopes and clowns
Everybody's dancing
Come on children, come on children
Come on clap your hands
Sun went down in honey
And the moon came up in wine
You know stars were spinning dizzy, Lord
The band kept us too busy we forgot about the time
They're a band beyond description
Like Jehovah's favorite choir
People joining hand in hand
While the music played the band, Lord
They're setting us on fire
Crazy rooster crowing midnight
Balls of lighting roll along
Old men sing about their dreams
Women laugh and children scream
And the band keeps playing on
Keep on dancing through the daylight
Greet the morning air with song
No one's noticed, but the band's all packed and gone
Was it ever there at all?
But they kept on dancing
Come on children, come on children
Come on clap your hands
Well the cool breeze came on Tuesday
And the corn's a bumper crop
And the fields are full of dancing
Full of singing and romancing
The music never stopped
Challenging lyrics. As are most Dead tunes.
IWT. One of my favorite first sets. And that's despite the incessant caterwauling of Vince Welnick.
From 1969 to 1995, the Grateful Dead broke down the Burgh a grand total of 19 times.
