#351. Oh Cheri

When someone mentions sherry, I usually think in terms of decadent cooking brandy.

But there's also this Sherrie.

 

Who's often mistaken for the wife/manager of the late Macho Man Randy Savage.

Then there's the candidate Cheri.  Former North Carolina State Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley.  She launched her candidacy for U.S. Senate a few days ago. 

I suspect she'll win the nomination and then lose by a very close margin to the Republican candidate.  Likely former Governor Pat McCrory or Congressman Ted "not my buddy" Budd.  God forbid Lara Trump, the daughter-in-law of the Orange Prolapse, actually decides to run.  I doubt she will.  Although that would make it a hell of a lot more interesting.  Truth be told, all of the 2022 Senate races will likely be a referendum on the former Commander-In-Clown.  If I'm Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, I want to keep it that way.  As a de facto subplot in all of the swing states (North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, etc.).  Keeping the Orange Menace front and center will benefit the Dems.  After 4 years of constant brainwashing and hero worship, the majority of Republicans just simply aren't aware of it... yet.  Mostly because they don't want to be aware of it.
