#343. When The Jews Stampede

Yesterday, tens of thousands of maskless Orthodox Jews gathered on Mt. Meron in Northern Israel.  They were praying.  And  singing.  And dancing.  And then it all went to shit.  Let's just say the festive celebration of Lag B'omer quickly turned into a Drag Boner.  

45 dead.  Hundreds injured.  

Crowd turbulence + panic + narrow corridor = stampede.  I hate to be the bearer of bad news.  But as the pandemic hopefully begins to subside, coinciding with the traditional return of large crowds (particularly religious festivals), I suspect you'll witness an uptick in the frequency of similar incidents.  Oh, the folly of man.
