Greg Abbott (R-TX) has already launched plans to run for a second term as the Governor of Texas. I believe it's a virtual certainty that Beto O'Rourke, assuming he wins the Democratic primary, will challenge Abbott in 2022.
Since I already wrote a derogatory parody about Abbott, I figured I'd better write a song about Beto as well. Naturally, my song about O'Rourke is a little less caustic and biting.

From what I understand, Harry Belafonte was quite the Democratic political activist. He's currently 93 years old. Still, if he feels like coming out of retirement, may I suggest a performance of my Banana Boat parody. Could be just what it takes to turn Texas blue. And just for the record, yeah I know, I had to eliminate the "O'" prefix in O'Rourke.
