#142. Ron DeSantis

Representative Charlie Crist (D-FL) recently sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney General's Office regarding the locations of certain "pop up" vaccination sites. 

I write with concern about reports that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is establishing coronavirus vaccine distribution and administration sites in select locations to benefit political allies and donors, over the needs of higher risk communities and existing county waitlists. 

Apparently, the Florida Gov. is looking to prioritize the Covid vaccine in extremely wealthy neighborhoods where residents are more likely to vote Republican.  Hard to fathom that someone in a position of power would attempt to "weaponize" the vaccine.  Cue the sarcasm.

Speaking of "popping up," DeSantis is actually popping up on some gambling sites as a minimally viable Republican presidential contender in 2024.  So I thought he deserved a song parody.  The problem was the syllable progression of his last name.  It's a tough one.  But then I reflected on this underrated metal anthem.

Manowar has only come to the Burgh twice.  Back in 1989 they played at Top Charlie's (never even heard of this venue) and in 2002 they played the Metropol, which at the time, was simply known as "M."  Missed 'em both times.
