#150. Proud Boys Are Back In Town

Not sure if anyone's ever written a parody song about far right extremist groups in the United States.  But I happen to have an intimate connection with the photographer whose work, the morning of the 2018 Pittsburgh synagogue Tree of Life massacre, ended up being broadcast around the globe.

So I think our tangential relationship (we got married the following year) entitles me to attempt a Proud Boys cover.

Now would Les Claypool give it his blessing?  Dunno.  But if you personally know the man, feel free to share.  It would be my personal dream come true... if the individual who brought this parody to his attention turned out to be his friend Fats.  From what I understand, he's a "jovial sort."

White nationalists aren’t very kind to Jesus Christ they pray
Most do not have a wife or decent rep
Fast food is their dietary and isn’t it a pity
Racism in your face ain’t that much fun
All of the recent polls show a spike their way
They want their angel wings, that shit’s not for me
Our country is one of constant disdain
Just another war to be fought

The Proud Boys are back in town

Black and brown people I want them all to die
All hail the white supremacists cleansing them instead
Future will be ours you just wait and see
Uh diddly diddly dee
All hail the white supremacists and the games they play
With all the melting potters a free for all
And the racists fight again one day

It’s not a crime!

The Toys Go Winding Down
Primus

An overaged boy of 39 has left the wing today
The first time in his life he's made that step
Be numbed by the society and plagued by insecurity
He's entered in a race that must be won
One of the animals has left its cage today
In search of better things, so it seems to be
But in this land of polyurethane,
things are apt to get a bit hot

As the toys go winding down

C.G. The Mexican is a friend of mine
We used to sit around the house watching Evil Dead
Talking about the way it used to be
Skit dat daddle dee dee
We used to pull the strippers out of San Pablo Bay
Now the delta waters go down So. Cal.
And the strippers start to fade away

It's pudding time!

As the toys go winding down

I might try another Proud Boys cover.  Thin Lizzy's "The Boys Are Back in Town."  Ironically, it would be the same exact title.

Please do not share this information with the domestic terrorist group known as The Proud Boys.
