#139. Neera Tanden

Biden's pick for OMB, Neera Tanden, has drawn the ire of alleged Democratic centrist Senator Joe Manchin.  A few days ago, he came out as officially opposed to her nomination.  She apparently has a long history of "mean tweets."  Sounds familiar, eh?  

Yesterday, they decided to "postpone" the nomination for a bit so everyone can take a closer look at her record.  That's politico speak for "leave her in a state of abeyance with the ultimate intention of permanently destroying her."  My hunch is that Biden's inner circle is holding out til the late afternoon Friday news cycle... when Tanden will "officially withdraw her name" because she doesn't want to be "a distraction" while the country is "moving forward" during the Covid pandemic.

I was wondering who the Republicans would target for execution.  Seems like they're going after her and Xavier Becerra (Health and Human Services Secretary).  I imagine they'll go with a valiant refrain --- "taxpayer funded, late term abortion" excuse.  But my hunch is that Becerra squeaks through as Tanden gets kicked to the K-Street curb.
