#107. VP Pence

I  found the Rachel Maddow interview with House impeachment lawyers Ben Neguse (D-CO) and Stacey Plaskett (D-VI) to be of interest.  Plaskett expressed a desire to speak with the former Vice President about his role in the failed coup.  But she found his silence to be "sad" and "mystifying."

One would normally think that if your ex-boss unleashed a mob of MAGA-horned maniacs, whose objective was to execute you and possibly your family... well, it might serve as a "wake up call" or at the very least, a mild source of contention.  Truth be told, Pence actually did punish Trump for trying to kill him.  He refused to talk to him for a whole 5 days.  Now if that brand of punitive hostility didn't strike at the sensibilities of the Orange Prolapse, I'm not sure what would.

I think Pence's future presidential aspirations took a serious blow.  Hey, if you failed to stand up on behalf of your wife and family (who were swept out of the Capitol by Secret Service agents just in the nick of time), why would Americans think you'd stand up for them?  That question will destroy Pence in any future Republican primary debate.  And it will likely be skillfully delivered by Nikki Haley.  Watch for it... a few years down the road.  Maybe sooner.

Dedicated to the establishment of the Coup Commission (which will inevitably be referred to as the Cuckoo Commission).   They'll immediately find themselves bogged down and overwhelmed by the refusal to acquire eye witness testimony under the guise of national security concerns.  Common sense questions will immediately surface.  Stuff like... what was Trump and his inner circle doing for the 5 hours during the insurrection?  Exactly which witnesses will get subpoenas?  What are the "real" ROE (rules of engagement) for Capitol Hill police officers?  How could a mob of insurrectionists get so close to the nuclear football briefcase?  Not to mention, exposing the chain of command issues in failing to call up the National Guard.  That stuff's just the tip of the iceberg.  The whole thing's a quagmire covered in shit, tied up with hemp, marinating in acid rain.

VP Pence

It won’t be bloody
Don't be bloody
Keep it right and
Keep on screwing
What you’re doing
Bad Karm
Flag unfurled
Skull smashing town
Trump’s dancing
There’s no doubt
He lost his mind

Your hair is frost
Too bad you lost

Next time I’m in town better call the cops
Don’t have a cow
I won't jack off
And all this blood
Will be the rain

Cell phone calling
Thin red line
All for the business a sign
And all this blood
Will be the rain

Your hair is frost
Too bad you lost
Your hair is frost
Too bad you lost

It's like a weapon
It's like a weapon
Of self defense

Against the present

Present tense

I won't get heavy
Don't get heavy
Keep it light and
Keep it moving
I am doing
No harm
As my world
Comes crashing down
I'm dancing
Freaking out
Deaf, dumb, and blind

In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost

I won't turn around when the penny drops
I won't stop now
I won't slack off
Or all this love
Will be in vain

Stop from falling
Down a mine
It's no one's business but mine
That all this love
Has been in vain

In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
In you I'm lost
